Betty Jo Adams

Betty Jo Adams, 90, of Gravette passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017. She was born August 18, 1927 in Mora, Minnesota to the late William Henry Hageman and Mary Elizabeth Hacker Hageman. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded by a sister, Fern Coffelt and a brother, Lloyd Hageman. Her family's migration from Minnesota included stops in Iowa and Missouri before planting roots on their farm east of Maysville. Following graduation she headed west and a career of more than 30 years as a Los Angeles County Court Clerk. Upon retirement, Betty returned to Gravette where she shared her love of reading as a volunteer in the library, made handmade jewelry and shared her knitted creations with her family. She was an un-armed member of the NRA and will be remembered for her feisty personality and strong opinions. Survivors include her brother, Murray Hagman of Wyoming; 2 nieces, Carole Dixon of Siloam Springs and Kay Luben (Bill) of Wyoming; three nephews, William Hageman (Sharon) of Colorado, Lee Hageman (Cathy) of Kansas and John Coffelt (Sabrina) of Oklahoma; numerous extended family and dear friends. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, September 22 at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville with a Graveside Funeral Service and interment Friday beginning at 1 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
