Thelma Ruth Bloyed

Thelma "Ruth" Bloyed, age 83, expired October 30, 2017 at Shiloh Nursing Home in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born June 26, 1934 to Rev. Hugh Shackelford and Ona Laura Miller Shackelford in the community of Hazel Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bloyed; her parents; four siblings, Jack Shackelford, Gwendolyn Jones, Viola Schulte, Ann Thornsberry and one grandson, Christopher Alan Legg. She and her husband James owned and operated two businesses throughout the years, Jim and Ruth's Superette and Brenda's Bigger Burger in Fayetteville. She was a hard worker, loved people and had an infectious smile everyone noticed. She is survived by one daughter, Brinda Bloyed Legg; son-in-law, Jimmy Varner; grandson, Collin Legg Wilkins; great-granddaughter, Tiauna Young and great-granddaughter, Bailey Wilkins. This precious lady was an Angel here on earth. Tender mercies for this angel… Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Moore's Chapel.
