Charles L. Venable, beloved husband, father and friend, 88 of Springdale passed away Sunday October 22, 2017 at Circle Of Life Hospice. He was born November 16, 1928 in Wetumpka, Alabama to Joseph and Lucille Stoudenmire Venable. Charles was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Springdale. He served in the United States Army Counter Intelligence Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a ceramic engineer for GREFCO and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Stephen R. Venable, one brother and one sister. Left to cherish his memory, is his loving wife of 67 years, Virginia Smith Venable of the home, three sons: Robert Venable and wife Lin of Franklin, Tennessee, Matthew Venable and wife Denice of Springdale, and Alexander Venable and wife Michelle of New Market, Maryland; one daughter Linda Kirchner of Sparks, Maryland: one daughter in law Elaine Venable of Kissimmee, Florida: 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel. Interment with full military honors will follow at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville at 12 noon.
