Laverne Goble

Laverne Goble of Elkins, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at 88 years old. She was born in Delaney, AR on October 9, 1929, to Port and Mamie (Wilson) London. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Woody Goble, a son Michael Harris, and 10 brothers and sisters. Laverne was a member of the Elkins Community Church. She was the owner and operator of Laverne's Kitchen Table in Elkins, and was the former owner of the Crosses Store and Cafe'. Laverne is survived by her daughter, Darlene Hankins and husband Bud of Elkins; son, Ward Harris and wife Debbie of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Keith Hankins, Scott Hankins, Michael Shane Harris, Amanda Kennedy, Justin Harris, and Michaela Harris; nine great-grandchildren, and many other friends and loved ones. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 25th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship in Elkins. Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 26th, at 10 a.m. at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship, with burial to follow at Brannon Mountain Cemetery.
