Michael Curtis Dial, 76, of Rogers passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born August 22, 1941, in Anthony, Kansas to Willard and Elsie (Smith) Dial. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Curtis Wade Dial. Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deanna Wade Dial, his children, Dwane Maynard, Wendi Jones (husband Mike), Michael James Dial (wife Kindra), Michelle Humphries (husband Larry) Ashley Williams (husband Ed), grandsons, Michael and Jonathan Dial, Kori Ford, Logan Humphries, and Nicholas Williams, granddaughters, Kreeli Ford, Tiffany (Dial) Jackson (husband Jason), Skie-Leigh Pina, Jessica Maynard, and Aleson Williams, step-grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, and Jacob Jones, brother Pat Dial (wife Marcia) and sister, Dana Brown (husband Jack). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mike graduated from Anthony High School in 1959, Arkansas City Junior College in 1961, and Northwestern State College with a degree in Business Science and Economics in 1966. He held advanced degrees from Vanderbilt University and the University of Michigan and IBM in New York. He worked for Boeing in Wichita, Kan. from 1966 to 1971. From there, Mike went on to serve in several capacities at Cooper Communities in Bella Vista for over 30 years. He was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer when he retired from there in 1999. Afterwards, Mike served as CFO for Alice Walton at Ozark Aircraft Systems and JB and Johnelle Hunt at Montana Tractor. He also owned his own financial consulting business. Mike was a Certified Management Accountant, a member of the National Land Institute, a longtime member of the Arkansas Razorback Foundation, and the Arkansas Alumni Association, and the Rogers-Bentonville Elks Lodge. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Anthony, Kan. He was the longest sustaining member of the Northwest Arkansas Bass Masters. He also served as the Treasurer of Arkansas Bass Nation from 2013 to February 2017. The highlights of his life were creating memories with Deanna, his children and grandchildren, fishing with his brother Pat and members of the NW Arkansas Bass Masters and the Coyotes. He was a workaholic, an avid dancer, and he loved to sing. Visitation will be held at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers on Thursday, October 19th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Friday, October 20th from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Mildred Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, Ark.
