Patsy Mae Freeman of Siloam Springs, born March 11, 1930, passed away on Nov. 25, 2017. She was the daughter of Herbert and Bertha Massey and wife of Max W Freeman Jr. She moved with her family to Siloam Springs in the mid-1940's where she became an all state basketball player during her high school years. She briefly attended college on a basketball scholarship but returned to Siloam Springs to start her life with future husband Max. She worked many jobs but most notable were telephone operator, accountant/bookkeeper in the many family businesses, substitute teacher, and finally Southside Elementary School secretary for nearly 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Massey, sister Jerry Wilmoth, and husband Max. She is survived by her son Donald and his wife Susan of North Little Rock and her son Robert and his wife Sandy of Fayetteville. There will be a public graveside ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family wishes in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Siloam Springs High School Scholarship Fund or The Broyles Foundation for Alzheimer's Support.
