William A. Barta of Rogers, passed away on November 13, 2017 at 88 years old. He was born on May 9, 1929 in Chelsea, Wisconsin to Andrew and Sylvia (Rice) Barta. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Margery and Audrey, and brothers Richard and Robert. William served in the Navy Air Corp. from 1949 to 1952. After his service, he graduated from Milwaukee school of Engineering. He owned his own HVAC business, Barta Refrigeration, for many years in Tomah, Wis. He finished his career as maintenance supervisor with Tyson Foods, hog department. William is survived by his wife Jeanette Barta of the home; 6 children Michael Barta and wife Linda of Tomah, Wis., Renee Parkhurst and husband David of Lakewood, Colo., Denise Sagan and husband Paul of Fayetteville, Ark., Patrick Barta and wife Lyn of Seattle, Wash., Tamora Barta of Houston, Texas, and Kimberly Hesse and husband Steve of Fayetteville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren Andrew Barta, Adam Barta, Ryan Barta, Eli Parkhurst, Josh Parkhurst, Joy Sagan Works, Anna Sagan, Joseph Sagan, Christina Sagan Anderson, Zach Barta, and Kelsey Barta; two sisters, Nancy Peardot and husband Don of Tomah, Wis., and Rita Reinke and husband Bud of White Water, Wis.; and many other friends and loved ones. A visitation will be held at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home chapel on Thursday, November 16, at 12:30 p.m. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville National Cemetery. The Rev.
