William A. "Bill" Bates

William A. "Bill" Bates, 72 of West Fork, Ark., passed away Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 in Fayetteville. He was born April 28, 1945 in Florence, Ala., to John and Effie (Smith) Bates. He was retired from Campbell Soup. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, William Gene Bates, and one brother, Maynard Bates. He is survived by one son, Jimmy Bates; four sisters, Carolyn Boone, Margaret Fancher, Mildred Peel, Chris Nuendorfer; five brothers, Kenneth Bates, Donnie Bates, Ronald Bates, Jeff Bates, Glenn Bates; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
