Deonea Jennette Yamauchi, 74, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017. She was born on November 16, 1942 to Claude and Lillie (Stroud) Middlebrooks in Selma, Ala. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jim A. Middlebrooks, her husband, Wallace Y. Yamauchi, and a son, Kenneth Tanner. She is survived by her sisters Betty Stanley and Shirley Bennett of Ft Smith, Ark.; her children Mary Boyd (Brian Jamerson) of Springdale, Ark.; James (Mary Jo) Tanner of Tulsa, Okla.; Wallace (Jane) Yamauchi of Hot Springs, Ark.; Joyce (Adam) Hilbish of Neosho, Mo.; Wanda (Johnny) Williams, Louise (Jeff) Cook, and Ressie (Perry) Yamauchi of Phenix City, Ala.; 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was a long time Christian and trusted that Jesus Christ, the One who forgave and saved her would be faithful to walk with her through this life. And so he has. And Jesus has proven faithful again as she breathed her final breath and he welcomed her into eternal glory. We rejoice that for the first time in a long time she no longer struggles with sickness, pain, and the burdens of this earthly life. She is now with her Savior Jesus Christ. We are especially grateful for the special attention from her caregiver DeeAnn Sprott. Visitation will take place from 5-7 pm, Wednesday, November 1 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark. The funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, November 2 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. as she is laid to rest beside her husband at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Ark.
