Thomas Edmond Halloran Jr. died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 17, 2017. Tom was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 26, 1941, to Thomas Edmond Halloran and Catherine Theresa Logue Halloran. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosemary Tacker; children, Patty O'Halloran of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kelly Holbert and Tommy Halloran of Little Rock, Arkansas; Tacker O'Halloran and Cate Halloran of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and five grandsons, Harrison and Jett Holbert of Little Rock, Arkansas; Keagan and Killian Halloran of Oceola, Missouri; and Noah Halloran of Memphis, Tennessee. Other survivors include his sisters, Kay Scattolino of Folsom, Pennsylvania, Betty Ann Piela of Greenwood, South Carolina, and his former wife Helga Halloran of Little Rock, Arkansas. A veteran of the United States Army, Tom proudly served his country from 1962-1965; for most of his service Tom was stationed in Germany. Tom worked for AT&T as a communication technician and supervisor for over thirty years retiring in 2004. Values and character were extremely important to Tom; he was a man of honor whose word was his bond. Tom learned many valuable lessons about integrity, character, and work ethic from his father, so made it his mission to pass those values on to his own children primarily through example. In addition to instilling values, Tom, aka "THE GREAT ONE", supported his children in their academic and athletic interests, encouraging and coaching them. Tom earned a National Coaching License in soccer and coached many players at J.A. Fair High School in Little Rock where he also coached traveling and recreational soccer teams. Teaching values as well as the sport was Tom's coaching philosophy. "And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should." DESIDERATA Memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Brashears Funeral Home, Inc., www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, Huntsville, Arkansas.
