Glynda Sue Harriman, 81 of Fayetteville, Ark. passed away Sunday May 14, 2017 in Fayetteville. She was born December 19, 1935 in Barnsdall, Okla. to Carl and Opal (Buckles) Sharp. She raised her family, and while her children were young, she did babysitting in her home and maintained relationships with those families for decades. She worked outside the home later in life including Bear Brand Hosiery and Carter's Goodyear Service Center. In 1989 she started working in dentists' offices until her retirement from Dr. Chaney's office on March 28, 2017. She worked twenty eight years in dentistry. Mom was an excellent cook and loved to prepare her family favorites. She embroidered countless tea towels for gifts and said she was leaving her footprints behind. Mom touched many lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Freddie Joe Harriman, with whom she celebrated fifty years of marriage prior to his death in 2008, eight brothers and two sisters: Jack, Gerald, Bill, J.L., Jim, Joe, Jess, Carl Jay Sharp, Wanda Lou Lewis, and Doris Jean Taylor. She is survived by daughter, Pamela Sue Moreton and husband John, son Ricky Lynn Harriman and companion Cheri Rogers; daughter Lana Jo Aiken and companion Mel Robinson, grandson Brandon Hoskins, brother-in-law Tommy Harriman and wife Shirley, sisters-in-law, June and Loyce Harriman, Melba, Joan, Rita, and Charlotte Sharp and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 18th in the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
