David Norman

David Norman, 48, Bentonville, Ark., loving husband and father, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 12 while mountain biking in Bella Vista, Arkansas. David was born August 13, 1968 in Longview, Texas and was the first child of Fred and Jean Norman. David attended Bullard High School, after graduating he enlisted in the Marines. He proudly served his country for six years, included active duty in the Gulf War, where he spent time in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Shortly after finishing his military duty, David met the love of his life, Ida Lozano. David and Ida married on September 5, 1992 and celebrated their 24th year of marriage last year. David and Ida lived in Rowland Heights, California where they started their family and David started his career in the CPG industry. In 2009 work brought David and his family to Bentonville, where he called home and continued to build his career, taking on his latest leadership role just two weeks ago. David's passions included his church, his family and friends, mountain biking, his dogs and the Dallas Cowboys. David was strong in his Christian faith, and a member of the Centerton First Baptist Church where he played trumpet in the worship leadership group. Those who were fortunate to know David describe him as a loving family man, whose passion for life was evident every day. David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frederick Norman and Mary Cooper, maternal grandparents, Rastus and Audie Bailey. David is survived by his wife, Ida, his son, Brandon, daughter, Nicole, his parents, Fred and Jean Norman, his brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Alesha Norman and nephew, Landry Norman. A memorial service celebrating David's life on earth will be held at the First Baptist Church Centerton on Wednesday, May 17 at 10 a.m. To help David's family with college and living expenses, a fund has been set up at Arvest Bank in his name.
