Floyd Allen Davis

Floyd A. Davis, age 75 of Springdale, Ark., passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017. He was born on May 27, 1941, in Blythe, Calif., to Barney and Stella (Boyles) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers: Carl, J.B., and Everett. Floyd married his high school sweetheart, Linda (Barnes), and would be married 55 years this June. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Air Force. Floyd worked throughout his career as a field engineer for IBM. Surviving are his wife, Linda; daughters, Debbie Emmelkamp and her husband Scott of St. Louis, Mo.; Diane Davis of Springdale, Ark.; grandchildren, Katie, David, Logan, Landon, and Syreena as well as many nieces and nephews. Floyd loved farming and the outdoors but what he loved most was his family. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Open Space Council for the St. Louis, a charity devoted to land and water conservation.
