Vernell "Nell" Selby

Vernell "Nell" Selby, 91, of Mayflower, Arkansas formerly of Springdale, went to be with the Lord May 5, 2017 in Mayflower. She was born June 17, 1925 in Booneville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Clyde and Sally Brown Glass. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Springdale and had worked in quality control for many different companies throughout her career and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Elm Springs United Methodist Church Quilting Circle and was a member of the Grange. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Selby, one daughter, Mary Sue Selby and also by her husband, Paul Rachel. She is survived by one son; Ronald Selby of Mayflower; two grandchildren; Jared and Joshua Selby and one great-grandchild, Amber Selby; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday May 12, 2017 in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Guy Durkee and Pastor Mark McDonald officiating. A private burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jared Selby, Joshua Selby, Charles Glass, Wesley Glass, Anthony Glass and William Glass.
