George Joseph Bacso III, 72, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed away May 7, 2017 at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born February 10, 1945 in Trenton, N.J. to George Joseph Bacso II and Margaret Mantel Bacso. George attended Notre Dame High School in Trenton, N.J., graduating in 1964. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts at Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1967. While in law school at Duquesne University in Pittsburg, Pa., he left to serve his country in the United States Army for two years. He was stationed for a time in Ft. Sill, Okla. After discharge, George received the degree of Juries Doctor from Duquesne Universe in 1972. George started his law career in St. Louis, Mo. working for a private law firm. He then worked for many years as general counsel for General Nutrition. He had a passion for real estate and worked with several developers before going to work as general counsel for Walmart stores in the early 90's in the real estate division concentrating in the West Coast and California, in particular. In 1994, George met Judi, the love of his life, on a blind date, and that started 21 years of fun and adventure. George and Judi were partners in several businesses, Miss Judi's Passion, Judi's Hallmark and currently, Wisteria Lane in downtown Rogers. They enjoyed traveling to Mexico, visiting Broadway in New York or just watching the Razorbacks. But George and Judi's greatest passion was horse racing and they traveled to England, France and the Kentucky Derby. For many years they were members of several horse racing partnerships. George always had a good time. He loved life. George is survived by his wife of 21 years, Judi Bacso; daughters, Megan Pope and husband, Brad, Kathryn Bacso and Amanda Bacso; step-daughters, Mary Beth Mann, and husband, Jeff and Holly Harris and husband, Kye and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Reverend Pamala Cicioni officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2017 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Burial will be at Bentonville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in memory of George Bacso, III to Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice, 1201 NE Legacy Pkwy., Bentonville, Ark. 72712.
