Norma Josephine Richart

Norma Josephine Richart, age 92, passed on May 1, 2017 at the Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, Neb. She married John W. Richart, September 13, 1945, in Vinton. They were married for more than 71 years. John and Norma resided in Bella Vista, Ark., for 20 years before moving to the Omaha area. Norma was a member of First United Methodist Bella Vista where she served on the Board of United Methodist Women, and other committees. She was also a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She excelled at cookie baking, sewing and dancing elegantly with husband, John. Survivors include husband John, two daughters, Elaine Brookins (Robert) of Des Moines, Iowa, Ellen Dorn, Omaha, Neb. and son, Fred Richart (Carol) of Omaha, seven grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren with one on the way, brother George (Mildred) of Grantsburg, WIis., one niece and three nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Masonic Home, 1300 Ave. D., Plattsmouth, Neb., on Monday, May 8. Memorials can be made to the Nebraska Masonic Home of Plattsmouth, Neb., or Ridgewood Retirement Community, Bennington, Neb.
