Arlis Franklin

Arlis Franklin, age 79, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison. Arlis was born April 18, 1937, in Pettigrew, Ark., the son of Hubert "Hub" and Nona Delight (Wist) Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Henry Wayne Franklin. Arlis married Pauline Hook Eoff on June 28, 1985. He enjoyed deer hunting, ATV trips in the woods, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Arlis retired from Bunny Bread Company, Arkansas Highway Police, and the Boone County Sheriff's Department. He was a Freemason. Arlis is survived by his wife, Pauline Hook Eoff Franklin, of the home; two sons, Kevin Franklin of Benton, Ark., and John Eoff of Springdale, Ark.; his daughter, Paige Langley of Cumming, Ga., four grandchildren, Misty Burks and husband Adrian, Kristen Stanley and husband Josh, Blake Langley, and Bailee Franklin; and three great-grandchildren, Kaleb Ceola, Carter Burks, and Anna Stanley. Funeral service is 2 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Dale Langley officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blake Langley, Adrian Burks, Ken McCauley, Sam Kekaha, Josh Stanley and Wesley Franklin.
