Jerry Lorraine Buckman

Jerry Lorraine Buckman, 87, was born to Herbert H. Hooper and Veda Lorraine Hopper in Decatur, Ill., on October 5, 1929, and passed away March 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Ross L. Buckman, and by one daughter, Susan M. Buckman. She is survived by her daughter Linda James and her husband Frank, a granddaughter Laura Beth James, all of Garfield, Ark.; two step-grandchildren, Frank Alan James Jr. and family, and Jesse James; one sister, Sally Kirkton of Marshfield, Mo.; two nieces, Kimber Brockman, and Nikki Eck and husband Rick; one nephew, Phillip Kirkton and Faith. Jerry graduated from Hardy High School, attending college at Kansas City Secretarial School, where she met her husband. They lived in Mankato, Minn., until he retired, then moved to Rogers, Ark. She owned and operated Jeri's Antiques and Uniques for many years. She was a member of the Rogers Historical Museums, Finders Keepers Club, and served at President of the Questers Club, and member of a Bridge and Pinochle Club. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday; March 17, 2017, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, with Mr. Bobby Vaughn officiating.
