Emil J. Dorcak, 82, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2017. He was born on February 13, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to the late John J. and Catherine M. (Roth) Dorcak. He grew up in Chicago and graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Economics. He began his career in Detroit, Michigan, where he met his wife, Mary Ann Newman at a dance. They were married for over 57 years. Because of his career they moved throughout the Midwest, including Cincinnati, Kansas City, Milwaukee and the Omaha/Lincoln areas. Summer vacations always included fishing trips and historical parks, of which the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone were their favorites. Together they had three sons; Curt Dorcak of Bemidji, Minnesota, Joseph Dorcak of Omaha and Paul Dorcak of Lincoln, Nebraska. His mother, Catherine, retired to the NW Arkansas area which brought Emil and family many summers of joy. They finally made Rogers their full time residence. Emil enjoyed life to the fullest and will one day be joined by Mary Ann for an eternity of dancing. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home.
