Constance (Connie) Downing Langley

Constance (Connie) Downing Langley passed peacefully on March 5, 2017 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born March 15, 1951 in Fayetteville the daughter of Harold and Irene Downing. She was preceded in death by her parents. She graduated from Elkins High School in 1969. She joined the United States Army at the apex of the Vietnam War and was stationed at Fort McClellan in Anniston, Alabama. Connie, along with her four siblings were raised on a little hand scrabble farm in the heart of the Ozarks. She was very active member of 4H, where she learned to master her skills in sewing, cooking and gardening. Connie was very congenial and generous soul who never met a stranger or forgot a friend. She was be missed. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalms 34:18. She is survived by two daughters Patti J. Buhrmann of Greenville, Texas and Vickie Swafford of San Antonia, Texas; six granddaughters Robin Harvey, Cheyenne Stripling, Makaliah Sanches, Nevaeh Sanches, Raven Swafford and Autumn Swafford; one sister Cindy Downing Farmer; three brothers Larry Downing, Tim Downing and Doyle Downing and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
