James Everett (J.E.) King Jr., 78, of Bentonville, Ark., died Friday, March 3, 2017 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born Feb. 28, 1939 in Bentonville, Ark., to James Everett King Sr. and Lena Inez (Sullivan) King. He graduated from Bentonville High School in 1958. J.E. was a faithful member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville. He loved spending time with his family and many friends, was an avid horseman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. J.E. was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Lee King. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy (Spainhour) King; one son, Russell King and his wife, Patty of Rogers, Ark.; and two daughters, Rebecca (King) Dunham and husband, Randy of Joplin, Mo., and Elizabeth (King) Daughrity and husband, Jeffrey of Bella Vista, Ark.; six grandchildren; a brother, Jesse (Jack) King of Centerton, Ark.; a sister, Marilyn Sue (King) Bruce and husband, Paul of Ballwin, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the First Christian Church in Bentonville with Pastor Don Morrow officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time.
