Clara Frances Poole, age 96, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was born on March 3, 1921, in Umbarger, Texas, to Bernard Joseph and Clara Friemel Hess. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Dee Poole; her two sons, A.D. Poole and Gary Lee Poole; and numerous siblings. Clara was a prolific talker and a lover of coffee. She was always trying to feed people who came to her home and always loved a good conversation. She was a life-long member of Highland Community Church. She was a long-time employee of Ramey Jr. High School in Fayetteville where she forged many friendships. Above all else, she loved and cherished her family most of all. She is survived by her three children, Judy Rowe and husband Dean of Prairie Grove, Jenny Green and husband Charles of Fayetteville, and Hal Poole and wife Wendy J. of Fayetteville; one daughter-in-law, Janet Poole; nine grandchildren, Cassie Argumaniz and husband John Konz of Highland Village, Texas, Cindy Stokes of Lowell, Jill Barnes of Pawhuska, Okla., Barbara Pruitt and husband Randy of Lowell, Kathy McMahan and husband Keith of Mounds, Okla., Angela Fuller of Oklahoma City, Okla., Andrew Poole of Oklahoma City, Okla., Sarah Tu and husband Daniel of Stockton, Calif., and Carol Cordell and husband Brad of Fayetteville; and 19 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home. Interment immediately following at Highland Cemetery in Fayetteville.
