Vernon Bub Harris

Vernon "Bub" Harris, age 64, of Elkins, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017. He was born August 2, 1952 in Fayetteville, the son of Vernon and Lucille Harris. Bub worked for Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Services for 20 years then was a caregiver for his wife for several years as she had ALS. Bub will be remembered as an old horse trader and his love of old cowboy ways. He will be greatly missed. Bub is survived by two sons, Rowdy Harris and Joe Harris, both of Elkins; a daughter, Traci Mort of Round Up, Montana; a brother, Ronnie Harris of Colcord, Oklahoma; a sister, Linda Hardin of Goshen; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 at Mt. Salem Cemetery, Elkins, Arkansas, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
