Larry Gene Phillips

Larry Gene Phillips, 74, of Chino, Calif., and formally of Bentonville, Ark., died December 9, 2016 at Kaiser Hospital in Ontario, Calif. He was born January 7, 1942 in Bentonville, Ark. to Fred M. and Lucille Simpson Phillips. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was an electrician and worked for Metropolitan Water District of Southern California for many years until his retirement. He moved to Alta Loma, Calif. in 1958. He married Rosalinda Delgado on October 27, 1963 at Christian House of Prayer, Chino, Calif. They lived in Chino most of their married life, except for a brief time in Cave Springs, Ark. He enjoyed playing baseball, fishing and bowling. He was a Christian, having been baptized at the Church of Christ in Cave Springs, Ark. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosalinda; sons, Larry Phillips, Jr. and wife, Kaylie of Etiwanda, Calif., Shawn Phillips and wife, Danielle of Upland, Calif.; brother, Bruce Phillips of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Marlene Sands of Cave Springs; grandchildren, Chase, Rudy, Aiden, Trystin and Kamdin Phillips and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Phillips. Services were held February 4, 2017 at Christian House of Prayer in Chino, Calif. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Phillips Cemetery in Cave Springs, Ark. There will be a time of fellowship in the Family Room at the Church of Christ in Cave Springs, Ark. following the graveside service. Memorials may be made to Phillips Cemetery, c/o Marlene Sands, 478 Shores Ave., Cave Springs, Ark. 72718. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers.
