Ima Jewel (Judy) Halford Lamp, 87, formerly of Ft. Smith passed away surrounded by her family on July 9, 2017 from pneumonia at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was the beloved wife of Joe Halford for 52 years who preceded her in death in 2001. For the past 12 years she was the cherished wife of Carl Lamp. She was a faithful member of Bentonville Church of Christ and loved serving others. Judy was born February 24, 1930 in the Harmony Community outside Paris, Arkansas to Doy and Bertie Redding. Named Ima Jewel at birth, she was called Judy her entire life. She was preceded in death by her first husband Joe Halford in 2001, her parents, four brothers: Hilton, Jack, Allen and Doy Redding Jr.; four sisters: Ruby Gattis, Laura Maddox, Evelyn Tidwell and Lorene Foshee, two nieces, LaCleta Nolan and Barbara Lewis. She leaves behind her husband, Carl Lamp of Bentonville, son, Gary Halford (Martha) of Rogers, grandsons, Ryan Halford (Melissa), Adam Halford (Bethany) all of Bentonville; great-grandchildren, Elliot, Keaton, Matilda Jewel and Ingrid Halford, sisters, Dennie Davis and Wanda Papagni, sister-in-law, Lil Ray, her very special and beloved nephew, Jim Maddox (Betty) and their children, Austin, Leslie and Sabra, plus a host of nieces, nephews and the extended family of her husband Carl Lamp. Visitation will be Thursday, July 13 from 5-7 p.m. at Bentonville Church of Christ, Bentonville, Arkansas and funeral services will be held on Friday July 14 at 10 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery.
