Renata Fritze Ray, age 53, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was born on July 24, 1963, in Sedalia, Missouri, to Jimmy Mack and Gudrun Reichel Ray. She is preceded in death by her mother; and her beloved dog, Hercules. Renata graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1981 and then went on to earn a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Arkansas. She taught family and consumer science for more than twenty years at Farmington Middle School. Her in town family were The Tennis Girlfriends of FAC where she developed many special relationships. Perhaps most of all was her deep love for animals. Her four-legged fur children were her pride and joy. She is survived by her father, Jim Ray and wife Carol of Rogers; one sister, Wanda Johnson of Little Rock; two brothers, Rob Ray and wife Pam of Bentonville, and Marshell Pinchback and wife Anita Lee of Little Rock; several nieces and nephews; her good friend, Linda Meldrum Gilchrist of Leawood, Kansas; and her fur child, Hummie. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Fellowship Bible Church at 3447 AR-112, Fayetteville, Ark. 72704. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Ozarks at https://hsozarks.org or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at https://www.pancan.org.
