Charley L Reed, age 79, of Springdale passed away Friday June 30, 2017 in Fayetteville. He was born Feb. 22, 1938 in Oark, Ark., the son of Arthur and Pearl Skaggs Reed. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Lonnie Acuff and a sister Arlene Griffith. He worked as a Truck Driver. He is survived by his wife Alice Reed; seven sons Charley L. Reed, Jr. of Springdale, Ark., Sidney LeRoy Reed and his wife Judy of Ozark, Ark., Brian Charles Reed and his wife Summer of Elkins, Ark., Joshua Lee Reed and his wife Christena of Fayetteville, Ark., Stanley Acuff and his wife Nona of Lowell, Ark., Mike Acuff and his wife Kristy of Springdale, Ark., and Marc Acuff of Oklahoma; two daughters Bridgett Reed Ham and her husband Chad of Bentonville; and Peggi Lothes of Springdale; a daughter-in-law Lois Acuff of Springdale, Ark.; three sisters Maxine McIlroy of Ozark, Ark., Viada Kimbriel of Clarksville, Ark., and Linda Tate of Ozark, Ark.; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 1 p.m., Monday July 3 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Silent Grove Cemetery in Springdale.
