Perry Lee Jr., 92, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. He was born September 18, 1924 in Neelyville, Mo. He was a retired Rancher and Farmer. He was a member of Old Liberty Baptist Church in Fort Smith. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener thru the years. His most loved passion was his family. He served as an EM3 aboard the USS Cleburne during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Dodd Lee, parents, Parie and Emily Lee and his sister, Irene Hoffmann. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. He is survived by his daughter, Debra Tucker and husband Tommy of Texarkana, Texas, his son, Gary Lee and wife Jenny of Fort Smith, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Warren Lee, David Lee, Dean Gardner, Sam Southerland, Roger Walters and Randy Walters. Honorary pallbearer will be Joseph Tucker. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Methodist Health and Rehab, 1915 South 74th, Fort Smith, Ark. 72903.
