Betty Lou Barnes-der Kinderen age 80 of Elkins/Patrick, Arkansas passed away on Jan. 17, 2017 on the farm she so loved to watch her many variety of flowers bloom and plants grow. Along with her pets and and animals over the years that filled her day with joy and brought purpose to her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl R. Barnes and Elsie Reece-Barnes of Fayetteville, Arkansas and brother, Ray Barnes. She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years Martyn der Kinderen, who made her life so peaceful and happy she never wanted to leave, daughters, Debbie Snapp of Derby, Kansas; Anita Petitto of Dayton, Ohio; Shari Spillers-Holland of Springfield, Ohio; son, Dana Bush of Dublin, California; sister, Grace Kelly of Little Rock, Arkansas; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Friends who stopped by to help in this time of transition were greatly appreciated by the family. Special thank you to Debbie Shackelford for making her day. Thanks to the nurses at NW Regional Hospital and Hospice Nurses for all they did during this time also. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
