John Timothy Westling, Sr.

John Timothy Westling Sr., 60, passed away on January 2, 2017 at his home. John was born on April 5th, 1956 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Cliff and Darlene (Anderson) Westling. John married his wife, Donna on December 21, 1990 in Bella Vista, Ark. John worked most of his life involved in retail. John worked for Walmart for 23 years, holding numerous positions until his retirement in 2011 as an Executive Vice President. Upon his retirement from Walmart, John began consulting work and became a partner with the MPG group. John also spent many years working with the Arkansas Children's Hospital. He was one of the founders of the Will Golf 4 Kids event in NWA which started in 1993. John enjoyed spending time with his family and his 11 grandchildren. He also was an avid golfer and enjoyed working outdoors on his property. John is survived by his wife, Donna; his parents, Cliff and Darlene of Bella Vista; his four children, John Westling Jr. and wife Casey of Bentonville, Vanessa Muff and husband, James of Bentonville, Joshua Swartz and wife, Cindy of Bentonville, and Michelle of Bentonville; 11 grandchildren, Luke, Emma, Max, Kaylee, Taylor, Danielle, Ayden, Levi, Jayden, Jessica, and Catrina; 3 sisters, Pam Johnson and husband, Steve of Tracey, Minnesota, Twila Lehr and husband, Rick of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Lori Batzel and husband, George of Chatfield, Minnesota as well as several nephews, nieces and many friends. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m., Thursday, January 5th at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday January 6th at Grace Point Church, 1201 McCollum Dr. Bentonville, Ark. 72712.
