Henry Davis

Henry Eugene "Gene" Davis, age 73, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his home. He was born January 12, 1944 in Fayetteville, the son of Raymond and Jewel Irene Ledford Davis. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1962. He was an employee of Southwestern Bell, retiring after 36 years. He was also an employee of Arvest Bank for 10 years, and a driver for Fayetteville Auto Park for two years. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for two years. He was a lifelong fisherman and bowler where he was a member of the Men's Bowling Association. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jacque Davis; a brother, Ray Davis and his wife Joyce of Fayetteville; a nephew, Duane Davis and a niece, Trinda Wood. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday at Moore's Chapel followed by burial in Mount Olive Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
