James Michael Jones

James Michael Jones, 35, a resident of Springdale, Arkansas, passed from this life on February 14, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born July 12, 1981 in El Dorado, Arkansas to James Calvin Jones, Jr. and Kimberly Michele (Franklin) West. He is preceded in death by his step-father George West; his grandfather James Calvin Jones Sr.; and his grandparents Harold and Wanda Franklin. Michael was the general manager of Malco Theatres where he had worked for 15 years. He earned a BA degree with an emphasis in creative writing from the University of Arkansas. He enjoyed playing music and was an artist and writer. Michael also loved the time he spent outdoors. Michael is survived by his wife, Amanda (Underhill) Jones; his mother Kimberly West of Norman, Arkansas; his father James Calvin Jones Jr. and his wife Carey of Camden, Arkansas; his grandmother Althea Jones of Camden, Arkansas; his siblings, Jessica Wright of Camden, Arkansas, Zach West of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Dylan West of Springdale, Arkansas. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 12845 Walnut Valley Rd., Rogers, Arkansas 72756.
