Thomas Foster

Thomas Foster born February 11, 1927, son of Sydney P. Foster and Dorothy Bennett Foster, passed on February 1, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Arkansas. He served proudly in the US Navy and was a graduate of Northwestern University. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He married Dorothy Bintz in 1952 and after a successful career with Dow Chemical, they retired to Bella Vista, Arkansas. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; sons, Timothy and Robert; and his parents. He is survived by his sister, Helen F. Schaper, nephew, David Schaper (Barbara), and niece, Susan Schaper Harris; the Wiley family, Mike, Tom, Susan, Carol and John; and the Bintz family, Joan, wife of the deceased John, Heidi (Elle and Sophie), Carl and John. He is also survived by wife, Barbara R. Foster, stepsons Chris and Brad Schroeder, stepdaughter Lisa Friesen (Doug), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tom and Barbara were members of the Bella Vista Presbyterian Church. A graveside service will be held at Hill City, Kan. at 2 p.m. on February 11, 2017.
