LaDonna "Jeanette: Featherston Moore

LaDonna "Jeanette" Featherston Moore, 77, of Bentonville, Ark. passed away, Monday, February 6, 2017 at Circle of Life, Legacy Village in Bentonville. She was born May 14, 1939 in Bentonville to J.B. and Ellen Collins Featherston. She was a graduate of Bentonville High School "Class of 1957." She worked at the Carroll County Extension Service in Berryville, Arkansas for many years before returning to Bentonville in 1981 and working for Carroll Electric. Jeanette was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bentonville. She was a Godly woman who always witnessed to others when given the opportunity. Her love for the Lord and knowledge of the scripture was something she enthusiastically shared with others. She started and led a Bible Study at Legacy Village Assisted Living during her brief stay there. Her friends at Legacy often spoke of her as a "Ray of Sunshine". She passionately loved her grandchildren and spent every possible moment with them, attending their sporting events, playing games, baking goodies, and was always there to just "listen". She enjoyed reading and especially loved reading her Bible. This was her special time with the Lord and praying for her loved ones. She shared her love for gardening with her neighbors who quickly became more than neighbors. They became lifelong friends. She also made time to fill the bird feeders for her feathered friends and enjoyed spending countless hours watching them. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Curgin Featherston, Jay "Sonny" Featherston, Charles Featherston and one sister, Doris Palmer. Jeanette is survived by one son, Joe Moore and wife, Rhonda of Springdale, Ark.; one daughter, Ladona Clark and husband, Larry of Bentonville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of Penelope in March. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers, Ark. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Bentonville with the Rev. Tom Smith and Associate Pastor Randy Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at Bentonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up to honor the Mercy providers and staff who cared deeply for Jeanette.
