When Bennjamin Tull Banks passed away on the 23rd of Jan. in Bentonville, Ark., we lost a man that touched many with his unique wit and gregarious persona at way too young an age. Benn was born Jan. 28, 1976, in Marin County, Calif. Benn's battle with cancer defied the odds and he lived longer and with more vitality than doctors, family, and friends could have imagined. Throughout his fight, Benn was an inspiration not only to others with cancer but also to his many friends throughout the country. It takes a special soul to create humor around such a terrible disease. Only Benn could make people laugh hysterically and cry uncontrollably while finding strength in the stories and pictures he shared. Benn commanded a room in presence and personality. He was a person for whom once you met, you'd never forget. His loyalty was unmatched and if you were his friend, you were a friend for life. Above all, he was a loving husband and a father. You would often find him on the sidelines coaching his sons' sports, which he did, until he was physically unable. In a pink bunny suit with a drink in his hand, Benn taught us how to fight without fear and embrace life. He will be missed and celebrated. Bennjamin is survived by his wife Kristianne, sons Tristan & Sebastian, his Mother Rebecca Banks, his Father Richard Banks, and family members throughout the country. A Funeral mass will be held in Bentonville at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Friday, Feb. 10 at noon. Reception immediately following at Gusano's in Rogers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tristan & Sebastian Banks College Fund – (www.Ugift529.com - Ugift code: A83-25A).
