Amanda Izora Owens

Amanda Izora Owens of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away on January 27, 2017. She was born on April 23, 1920 in Houston, Mo. to the late Fred and Tollie Dablemont. Amanda moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1990 with her husband James after spending much of her life in Missouri. She was very active in many organizations during her life. While living in St. Louis, she was President of the local, Missouri State and National PTAs. Moving to Arkansas, she became president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Purple Heart. She was dedicated to helping others, and worked for many years as a nurse in St. Louis. Survivors include her children, Marlene Olafson (Vern) of Bella Vista, William Krone (Paula) of Arizona; stepchildren, Karla Stewart (Dan) of Wichita, Kans., Jim Owens (Jan) of Corpus Christi, Tx.; brother, Bryce Dablemont (Bettye); three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Robert Krone, James Owens; and brothers, Norton, Farrell, and Vaughn Dablemont. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4th at Village Bible Church in Bella Vista. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Rogers City Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, as are donations to Circle of Life Hospice at 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, Ark. 72762.
