Claudie Esther Gilleylen Pentecost

Claudie Esther Gilleylen Pentecost, 99, formerly of Bentonville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, in Franklin, Tenn., where she lived for the last 12 years with her daughter. Born in Pike City, Ark., on Dec. 11, 1918, Mrs. Pentecost moved to Washington D.C. in December 1941 where she worked for the War Production Board during World War II, and then the General Services Administration until her retirement in 1975. Prior to moving to Franklin, Mrs. Pentecost was a member of the Bentonville Church of Christ for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James E. Pentecost. She is survived by her daughter, Judy C. Knight and husband Jim of Franklin, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Jimmy Knight and wife Jill and Janna Knight, all of Germantown, Tenn., and Jennifer Ranes and husband James of Columbia, Tenn.; and six great-grandchildren, Jamie and Jordan Rose Knight, Mikey and Brayden Lunati, and Juliana and Gabby Ranes. A private committal will be at Benton County Memorial Park, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, Ark. The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home at 1401 West Hudson Road in Rogers, Ark.
