Elaine Darlene Dean

Elaine Darlene Dean, 80, recently of Yuma, Arizona formerly of Bella Vista, Arkansas died on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in Yuma. She was born on March 7, 1931 in Wahoo, Nebraska to Glenn P. Tharp and Evae B. (Dabney) Tharp. She moved to Bella Vista in 1985 from Hasting, Nebraska. She was a member of the Village Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Steven P. Dean and brother, Kenneth Tharp. She is survived by her husband, Earl Dean of Yuma, Arizona; two daughters, Phyllis L. Dean of Azel, Texas, Cheryl A. Prophitt (Tommy) of Gun Barrel City, Texas; one brother, Gerald Tharp of Lincoln, Nebraska; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at 12 noon with Funeral Services to follow at 1 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 in the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bella Vista Cemetery. In honor of her grandmother, Jennifer Silva created a memorial charity donation site with Samaritans Purse, Elaine's favorite charity.
