Jeffery D. "Jeff" Billis of Fayetteville passed away Sunday morning, December 17, 2017 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born May 24, 1955 in Denver, Colorado to Lawrence "Bud" and Marilyn (Churches) Bills. He was an athlete in school and after graduating in 1973 from East High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming he joined the Navy to serve with the United States Naval Construction Battalions better known as the Seabees or C.B. He was an accomplished musician from a very early age playing many instruments but most notably the electric guitar; he entertained many in the United States and Canada. He had a zest for life that could be seen with his sense of humor, the continuous smile on his face and the way he interacted with family and friends. He was unselfish and strong as he never complained about his own problems to others. He loved his kids as much as a father can and that is where he gathered the strength to live the life that was his. He was preceded in death by the loving mother of his three children, Martha L. Billis, January 19, 2000 at the age of 36, and his eldest son, Marshall Trent Billis, September 9, 2003 at the age of 17. He is survived by his father and mother, Lawrence and Marilyn Billis of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Daughter: Megan M. (Billis) Conner and husband Brandon, and son, Erik D. Billis, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado. One sister, Jodi L. (Billis) Lanigan of Goshen, Ohio and one brother, James M. (Jim) Billis of Bentonville, Arkansas. Two granddaughters and a grandson, Londyn, Autumn and Dawson of Colorado Springs, Colorado and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be determined at a later date and have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
