Landreth Leo Loyd, devoted, faithful Christian, loving husband, wonderful dad, and greatest granddaddy and Paw, went into the arms of Jesus December 17, 2017 at home surrounded by family. He was born May 25, 1921 in Magazine, Arkansas to Edgar Loyd and Bernice Wright. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Guy and Jack Loyd, two daughters; Shirley Roark and Lesia Usrey. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dellia (Evans) Loyd. Three daughters: Jean Anne (Larry) Williams, Lana Loyd of Louisiana, Tina (Andy) Johnson of Springdale, two sons Wes (Linda) Usrey of Rogers, Arkansas, Gary (Beth) Usrey of Springdale. Three granddaughters, Amy (Mark) Epp, Anne (Patrick) Furlong, Makayla Johnson. Two bonus granddaughters, Maggie and Sadie Foster, eight grandsons, Cody Usrey, Brandon Bowen, Derrick and Trent Porter, Clay Johnson, Payton, Dodge and Nash Usrey, one bonus grandson, Tucker Bradley. Thirteen great-grandchildren, Nate, John Mark and Julie Epp, June and Frida Furlong, Hunter and Willow Usrey, Allee and Kyler Usrey, Kayden and Serenity Porter, Kodi and Lakelyn Porter. Also many loving nephews, nieces, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, family members and friends. Landreth lived his life serving the Lord, his favorite ministry was to witness and tell others about Jesus and how to go to Heaven. He led over 500 people to saving faith. He was a member of First Baptist (Cross Church) since 1946. He also attended Faith Regular Baptist Church in Elm Springs. Landreth and his brothers built and owned Springdale Farms (Loyds) Poultry processing Plant. He later was owner of Loyd's Trucking Garage. Landreth also was a great airplane pilot. He flew until his 95th birthday, thanks to his great friend Roger Moore. Back in his younger days he flew sales for their company. Also he flew emergency flights for Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was also a flight instructor. He served in World War II as a landing barge operator for the US Coast Guard. He would tell you that his greatest accomplishment was being a good and faithful servant for the Lord and now his work here on Earth is finished. So in Landreth's memory, when you hear his favorite song "Jesus is the Sweetest name I Know", give Jesus praise, glory and honor and thank "Him" for his saving mercy. Funeral services will be will be at 11 a.m. Thursday December 21, 2017 at Cross Church in Springdale with Dr. Larry Williams, Reverend Tommy Henson and Roger Moore officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue Springdale, Arkansas 72762. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. lasting until service time. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers will be Cody Usrey, Payton Usrey, Derrick Porter, Clay Johnson, Nate and John Mark Epp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Bowen, Trent Porter, Dodge and Nash Usrey, Tucker Bradley, Eddie, Bob and Chip Loyd.
