Larry Warren Tuttle

Larry Warren Tuttle, 74, of Bella Vista, Ark., died peacefully in his sleep Dec. 14, 2017 at his home. He was the son of the late Cortland and Ferne (French) Tuttle and was born on Nov. 15, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Vickie Lynn Scott on June 15, 1963, and they were married for 50 years. Larry earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Sioux Falls College, and taught music for many years in Balaton, Minn. Larry and Vickie moved to Bella Vista in 1987. Shortly thereafter, Larry earned both a Master of Education and a Specialist in Education from University of Southern Mississippi. A lifelong passion, Larry went on to teach for over 25 years in the Rogers (Arkansas) School System. Larry and Vickie were members of United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista for many years where Larry served as choir director. Upon his death, he was a member of Samaritan House Fellowship in Rogers, Ark., where he enjoyed singing and making joyful music with his friends to lift up to the Lord in praise. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie. He is survived by his son Scott Tuttle and wife Shayleen; daughter Carrie Guarino and husband Tom; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Stocker and husband John, and Peggy Wichmann and husband Lowell; three nieces and three nephews; and his loving companion Susan Andrews Church. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, Bella Vista, Ark. Larry will be interred in the church's columbarium alongside Vickie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Online condolences may be made to www.funeralmation.com.
