Lois Jean McAlister

Lois Jean McAlister, 76, of Springfield, Mo. passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 following a long illness. She was born on Sunday, August 3, 1941 in Everton, AR to Alma Juanita Cooper and Troy Fred Williams. Lois was a graduate of Valley Springs High School in Arkansas. She also took several college courses and studied American Sign Language. Lois started her career as a bookkeeper at age 17. She also worked in banking, managed a medical office and opened her own store, Choices by Lois. She was married to Rob Roy Campbell, the father of her two children and to Billy John McAlister. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Lou Ella Williams. She is survived by two children, Sean Campbell and Melanie McDonald, one brother, Ronald Williams, her daughter-in-law Valerie Campbell, her son-in-law, Kevin McDonald, two step-daughters, Dr. Tamara Fusco and Tiffini Koehler and four grandchildren, Heath Fusco, Brendan Fusco, Amarra Fusco and Colton Koehler. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Klinger-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, Mo. 65804 with funeral services conducted by Chaplain Elizabeth Tinlin at 2pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Burial will take place at the Rivermonte Memorial Gardens following services.
