Duane Charles Peterson

Duane Charles Peterson, 89, of Bella Vista, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Highlands Health and Rehab in Bella Vista. Duane was born February 9, 1928, in Axtell, Nebraska to Edgar Emanual Peterson and Nettie Victoria Peterson. Duane served in the United States Army and worked in the printing business. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Alan, and Duane's seven brothers and sisters: Donald, Harlan, Adaline, Ruth, Warren, Grace, and Shirley. Duane is survived by his wife, Wilma; sons, Ron (Kathy) Peterson and Larry (Debbie) Peterson; daughters, Connie (Mike) Meier, Ruth Anne (Henry) Duquaine, Dawn (Dale) Winkler and Betty Eisenach; stepchildren, Steve (Mary) Macauley, Sandy Macauley and Karen Nuttleman; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Wanda Gustafson. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 8th at the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista with Reverend Karen Fowler-Lindemulder officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Fayetteville National Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
