Pat Simpson

Pat Simpson, age 86, passed away surrounded by her family on November 30, 2017. She was the daughter of Fred and Lucille (Stroud) Coberly and was born on February 3, 1931 in Cave Springs, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident and graduated from Rogers High School in 1948. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Wayne Wallis Simpson, who passed away November 23, 2005, and her brother Bobby Coberly and sister Erline Littrell. Pat and Wayne married on December 23, 1950, and raised their family on their farm they operated in the Cave Springs area. She truly loved her family and boasted proudly of all their achievements in life. She stated often that God had truly blessed her with a wonderful loving family. She is survived by four children, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren as well as her niece Tena Daye and her nephews Dane and David Coberly. Her family is as follows: son, Steven Wayne Simpson and wife Cheria of Cave Springs, Arkansas; grandson, Levi Simpson and his wife April and children Judah, Asher and Audrey of London, England; grandson, Jared Simpson and wife Athena and children Uriah, Cheyenne and Delainey of Escondido, California. Daughter, Pamela Mortensen of Coppell, Texas; grandson, Jonathan Mortensen of Augusta, Georgia; grandson, Jeremy Mortensen of West Point, New York. Son, James Simpson and wife Linda of Bentonville, Arkansas; granddaughter, Amanda Weaver and husband Lance of Pampa, Texas, and children, Ella and Jackson; granddaughter, Rebecca Usery and husband Jake of Groton, New York; grandson, Tyler Simpson of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Son, Jon Simpson and wife Melissa of Bentonville, Arkansas; granddaughter, Deianira and grandson Eli of the home. She held a special place in each of our hearts and was especially loved by all her grandchildren. A wife, mother, and homemaker, Pat was an excellent seamstress, great cook and always kept busy. She loved to go treasure hunting and volunteer at Helping Hands in Bentonville and enjoyed working at her flea market booths in Tonitown. She served and volunteered for over 50 years at the American Legion Auxiliary Post #274 in Cave Springs, Arkansas. She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church and had a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. Visitation will be at the Lakeview Baptist Church, 1351 E Lowell Ave., Cave Springs, Arkansas on Monday December 4th at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Arkansas.
