Faye Bordelon Walsh

Faye Bordelon Walsh, 87, resident of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, died August 19, 2017, at her home surrounded by family. Born April 11, 1930, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Homer Bordelon and Genola Robertson Bordelon. Faye went to Little Rock Junior College and graduated from University of Arkansas with a bachelor's in Business in 1954 where she was a member of Delta Gamma. She became a flight attendant for TWA in Chicago, Illinois where she met her husband John C. Walsh. They married November 18, 1955. Faye got her master's degree from San Diego State University in 1982 and began teaching. Prior to retirement she taught keyboarding and typing to Navy sailors in San Diego, California. Faye later moved to Sulphur Springs and was cared for in her home by her children where they shared many fond memories in the country. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Mayhue and husband Dr. Franklin Mayhue of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; sons, John T. Walsh and wife Melanie Links Walsh of Appling, Georgia and Robert D. Walsh and Tina Roberts of Fayetteville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren Shaun, Brandon, Jennifer, Colleen, Benjamin, Shane, Kevin, Emily and Olivia and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at GAR Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, Arkansas.
