Norma Jean Lilze

Norma Jean Lilze, age 75, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 26, 2017, in Fayetteville. She was born on November 15, 1941, to Edmun and Dinah Harris Spitler in Clarksville, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Dan Lilze; and her sister, Judie Krissman. Norma sold Avon for many years making many friends along the way. Her passion was teaching and spent 45 years investing herself in the lives of her students. She taught in California and then moved to Arkansas in 1987 where she continued to touch the lives of the children she loved. She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Eugene Lilze, II of West Fork, and Todd Michael Lilze and wife Vicky of Rogers; her daughter, Lisa Mishelle Lilze and husband Marc Noe of Springdale; her three sisters, Janet Evans and husband Michael of Petaluma, California, Tina Wallace and husband Wesley of Rogers, and Tammy Clinton and husband Brian of Clarksville; and two granddaughters, Rachael and Jessica Lilze. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, in the chapel at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A private interment will be held by the family at a later date.
