Hope Stewart, 91 of Springdale passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at Walker Hospice in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 4, 1925 in Webers Falls, Oklahoma to Floyd and Naeta Butts Harshaw. Hope was a bookkeeper. She worked at Famous Hardware, Springdale Water Department and Northwest Vocational Technical School. She was a member of Cross Church Springdale formerly First Baptist Church where she taught the four year old Sunday School Class. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Stewart; her son, David Stewart; two sisters, Jewel E. Marshall and Velma Lee Halley; two brothers, Floyd A. Harshaw Jr. and John William Harshaw and her dear dog Elly. Survivors include one daughter, Sallye Turley and husband Wayne of Springdale; one sister in law, Maxine Harshaw of Muskogee, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Bluff Cemetery with Charlie Foster officiating. No visitation is planned.
