Melinda Ann Jaber

Melinda Ann Jaber of Fort Smith, AR passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. She was born in Fort Smith on September 9, 1953. She is survived by her twin sister, Melanie Jaber, of Fort Smith and her sister, Sarah Jaber, of Fayetteville, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sabra and Kade Jaber. Melinda earned B.A. and B.S. degrees and an M.A. with honors in Sociology from Texas Woman's University. Melinda was an animal rights advocate, volunteering often for Humane Society fundraisers. She loved her cats and her cats loved her and will miss her. Melinda also loved to travel, visiting many destinations, including London, Paris, Beirut and Russia. As per her wishes, Melinda is donating her body to the U. of A. Medical School for scientific research and teaching. A Memorial Rosary Service will be at Christ the King Catholic Church Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
