Rose Mary Cerny, 90 of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Willard Walker Hospice Home. She was born June 18, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Nicholas and Mary (Jasurda) Grahovec. Rose worked as a registered nurse for 50 years in both Chicago and at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. She enjoyed listening to opera and reading. One of her greatest joys was taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Cerny; one son, Otto Cerny, Jr.; one grandson, David Bayyari, one son in law, William Huff, her parents and 11 siblings. Survivors include four daughters, Geraldine Huff of Fayetteville, Jackie DeLong and husband Russ of Fayetteville, Donna Bielawski and husband John of Rogers and Darlene Dziedzic and husband Edward of Newbury Park, California; two sisters, Therese Zmuda and husband Edward of Posen, Illinois and Pauline Kolar of Santa Fe Springs, California; fourteen grandchildren, Sara, Heather, Lisa, Johnny, Jason, Jennifer, Julie, Peter, Emily, Eddie, Lauren, Kassi, William and Virginia; five great-grandchildren, David, Leyla, Addison, Arianna and Lily. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. A rosary service will take place on Friday, October 28, 2016 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tontitown. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon at the church with Father Greg Hart officiating and will be followed by a luncheon. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville at 2:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis Tenn. 38105.
