Todd DeBriyn, age 45 of Fayetteville passed away Thursday Sept. 29, 2016. He was born March 12, 1971 in Fayetteville, Ark. to Norm and Caroline Mock DeBriyn. Todd is a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas University Parish in Fayetteville. He was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and was an All-State baseball player in high school and was a two year letterman in baseball and football. Todd was an All-State shortstop for two years at Fayetteville High School from 1988-1989. From Fayetteville High School Todd went to Westark Junior College in Fort Smith now UAFS where he was the Lions' Shortstop for two years. He was recruited by Missouri State University where he played third base for two years from 1992-1993. For the 1994 season, Todd served as a student assistant coach and earned his degree in Business Administration. He loved coaching and gave baseball lessons to the local youth of northwest Arkansas up to the present time. Todd dedicated his life to family, faith, and friends. He devoted countless hours to coaching baseball while impressing the importance of present and future to his players and children. Todd spent countless hours volunteering with various organizations, which also included bringing Communion to the sick and home bound on Sundays. Although Todd was a fun loving spirit, his structures and discipline defined his life. He is survived by his wife, Nicole Davison DeBriyn, two daughters, Carly DeBriyn of Clever, Mo., Berklie Young of Fayetteville, Ark.; three sons, Coleson Young, Rugby Young and Hunter Young all of Fayetteville; his parents, Norm and Caroline DeBriyn of Fayetteville; one sister, Carrie Jo DeBriyn of Fayetteville and his brother Marty DeBriyn of Fayetteville. Rosary service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday Oct. 6, 2016 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 3 p.m. Immediately following the Mass, there will be a reception in the DeBriyn Center at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
